Interesting facts about neutrino

Neutrino is one of the weirdest particles in the universe. It's so weird that we don't know much about this particle. Basically neutrino is a particle of Lepton group. In every radioactive reaction, electron contains a neutrino with itself. I know it's kinda odd. Don't worry, let's know some more weird facts about this particle. Right below, there are some interesting facts or you can say, "facts" about neutrino as it's so weird.

Fact No.1-
Neutrino is the second most abundant particle following photon. About 100 billion solar neutrinos pass through your thumbnail every second. Approximately there are about 300 neutrinos in a cubic centimeter.

Fact No. 2-
Mass is one of the fundamental characteristics of any particles. And there is the problem. Because of it's weird mannerism, determining the mass of a neutrino is really hard. Scientists haven't been determined the mass of neutrino properly yet. But there are limits on masses of each of the neutrinos. Electron neutrino, Muon neutrino & Tau neutrino has a limit of mass 225 eV, 0.19 MeV and 18.2 MeV respectively. Source: MIT

Fact No. 3-
Lights come from the sun are thousands of years ago. Though it takes photon about 8 minutes to reach from the surface of sun to the Earth, it takes 10000 to 100000 years a photon to escape the core of sun. But neutrinos take only 2.3 seconds to escape the core of the sun. And about same time like photon to reach the Earth's surface.

Fact No. 4-
Neutrino pass through matters easily. That means, if anyone shoot neutrino by a gun or something like this, that won't effect your body. In fact, neutrinos rarely collide with other objects.

Fact No. 5-
Neutrinos are kind of Leptons. Leptons usually have a charge of 1/2. Nevertheless, neutrinos don't have charge.
