What is space & time?
We can go anywhere we want. It's very simple, isn't it? And also we can return to the place we've started from. It's actually very easy to move through space, you can go everywhere. But does this same fact work for time? Well, the answer is "NO". But why not? If that doesn't work on time as well then where did the term "Space-time" come from? Very well, let's talk about this.
Space (According to Newton)
In 1687, Sir Issac Newton discovered gravity. Gravity is a force that makes one object to attract another. In further time, he gave us the universal laws of motion. These laws help us to explain motion in mathematical way. Newton explain space as constant, as well as time. In classical mechanics, we've a concept of "Absolute Space". The term is been used for describing the steady state of space that is not affected by what occupies it or occurs within it.
Time (According to Newton)
An hour consists of 60 minutes. A day of 24 hours, a year of 365 days, and so on. All of them (Hour, day, year) are different kinds of measurement of time. That's actually how we count time. Time is basically the indefinite continued progress of existence. Newton gave the theory of "Absolute Time". He thought that time flies at a same rate everywhere in the universe.
